Holy Trinity Newsletter

Dear Parents and Carers,

A very warm welcome to all the families that have joined us since last week’s newsletter. We are so impressed with the new children’s confidence and lovely positive natures.

Next Thursday is National Poetry Day. We have been running a poetry competition with the children. The closing date is today so please get those last minute entries to me.

Last academic year the school was involved in a set of primary science investigations initiated by the BBC. As a result of this Holy Trinity has been awarded with a “Certificate of Excellence” in recognition of its outstanding participation. Our science co-ordinator, Mrs Lambert has also been appointed, along with a few other colleagues in the borough, to the post of school based advisor for science. Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean that she will be leaving Holy Trinity but rather she will have the occasional day to organise training for other schools.

Our Year 6 residential has been blessed with some good weather so far and all is well.

Best wishes, Penny Cox

Important Information
Neighbours. As well with parking, please also be considerate to our school neighbours in other ways. One person has reported to me that parents (and children) sometimes throw their litter into people’s front gardens. Obviously this reflects poorly on the school, so please help us maintain an excellent reputation in the local area.

Jeans for Genes Day. Friday 22nd. Children can wear denim trousers or skirts and contribute a £1 towards this excellent charity. The rest of the uniform should be the same as usual with school shirts/sweat shirts/shoes etc. Friday 22nd is also the MacMillan Coffee Morning, straight after drop off in the hall. This is a lovely social occasion so please do support it in whichever way that you can.
