Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you so much to all the children who entered our poetry competition last week. The PTA generously donated money towards the cost of book tokens for prizes and we also gave some little gifts for the “highly commended”. Congratulations to our winners: Bella Pemberton, Eli Neal, Sam Badawi and Olivia Moher. “Highly commended” awards went to Arthur Jones, Lina Arrigo and Emma Russo.

We had an excellent turn out for the parent communication/social event on Wednesday. Please do think about how you could support the PTA this year and then let them know at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Urgent Hurricane Appeal for Dominica – for next Friday 13th October

on the 18th September 2017 the small Caribbean island of Dominica was hit by a category 5 force hurricane. These 160mph winds caused 90% of the countries buildings to be damage, the BBC describe it as desolation beyond imagination. Officials and aid workers have said it could take months if not years to rebuild what has been destroyed.

A local mum Emma Alleyne, who has lots of family on the island has set up an appeal across the borough. The idea is to send 5 x 220l barrels across the Atlantic to Dominica, the boat leaves on 17th October and arrives 13th November.

I am proud to say Holy Trinity has offered to help, we will receive a large blue barrel to fill by next Friday 13th October. What can we do to help?
