About Us

Our last Ofsted inspection (July 2015) recognised the success of the headteacher, Penny Cox and her leadership team, by concluding that the school is ‘outstanding’. Key highlights are:

• inspectors praised the ‘exceptional’ care, guidance and support given to the children, and some ‘outstanding’ teaching;
• Ofsted noted the ‘strong and dedicated leadership of the head teacher and senior leaders’ and how this has resulted in the school’s excellent reputation and parental support;
• the team of staff were recognised for going to ‘great lengths’ to make learning fun;
• the children were applauded for their good behaviour, their attendance and how much they enjoy learning and being part of the community; and
• the school was described as ‘happy’ and ‘highly inclusive’ where children ‘have a tremendous sense of security’.

Following an Ofsted inspection all church schools have a Church School Distinctiveness Inspection (known as a Section 48). This inspection involves looking at the standard of assemblies, the quality of the religious education and the effectiveness of the ethos of the school. The school under took this inspection in the week before Easter 2010 and was awarded the grade of Outstanding. The Diocese education director writes in her covering letter to the report: “The ‘outstanding’ grade is a wonderful reflection of the commitment of staff and governors to the promotion of the distinctiveness of the school. It is a parallel achievement with the raising of standards generally in Holy Trinity.”

Parent View - Give Ofsted your view on your child's school

Parent View is an online facility that allows parents and carers to give their views about their child’s school at any time of the school year.

The questionnaire is also the main mechanism for parents to give their views to inspectors about their child’s school at the time of a school inspection.
