Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had some fabulous celebrations over the last couple of weeks; last week we had sharing our learning morning, arts week and sports day, yesterday was our Summer Concert and the Head Teacher’s Award and today we have had the Sports Awards Assembly. We still have the Star Awards, HT’s Got Talent and our Year Six Leavers’ Assembly! It is so special to celebrate together.

 

Thank you for all your support this year. I owe a special debt of gratitude to our PTA who have worked so hard and achieved so much – thank you so much for your commitment and extraordinary dedication.

 

It’s lovely to see that we have other members of the school community who have stepped forward to take on this role, so we welcome Paul Downey, Sarah Nowell and thanks to Sonya Booth who is continuing on the committee. I look forward to working with you next year.

 

I wish everyone a fabulous holiday and we look forward to seeing you back on 6th September. To our Year 6 we wish a really successful start to their new schools – keep up your positive attitude to learning and you will do brilliantly!

Important Information

 

Communication meeting. Will be on Thursday 20th July at 7pm. I will be talking about the results that the school has achieved this year.

 

School reading books. Please could you have a look around to see if you have any junior library books at home and return them as soon as you can?

 

Lost property. We have set up a new system for lost property which we hope will be more user friendly!

 

Lost property has been sorted into 4 boxes which are labelled with the item they store, e.g. cardigans, sweat shirts etc., so that you can search by item lost rather than year group. We are hoping this will make it easier to find items. The 4 boxes are located outside the hall under the covered part opposite Nursery. The boxes have been sorted and anything named has been returned, anything left this Friday will be recycled. Over the summer holiday please take the time to write your child’s name into every item of uniform.

 

P.E. As the children are coming in in their PE kit now we would like to help them to look smarter. Children should wear their school PE T- shirt and navy blue shorts (of the correct length please, i.e. mid-thigh). If they need a warm top, this should be their school sweat shirt or cardigan. If track suit bottoms are needed, then these should be navy blue. Children can wear the school track suit if they wish. Black plimsolls or trainers should be warn.

 

Friday 21st July is the last day of the school year. We finish at 2.15pm

Very last PTA newsletter for this school year we promise….!


Summer Festival Result


The final numbers for our festival were a wonderful £1,400 that we will be donating to the Grenfell Tower disaster. A huge thanks to all who came and supported the event and special thanks to the band Project Mayhem who donated their fee for the event to the disaster fund.


Bags2School


Impressively, The World Land Trust have already issued Holy Trinity with our certificate for raising £300 from our Bag2School collection.  Please see link below.  A huge thank you to everyone who brought their bags to school and to Fiona Vigar and Suzie Durrant for running this initiative.

PTA Event Leads wanted


Thank you to those who have volunteered to Lead PTA Events for the next academic year. A few roles are still looking for leads – don’t be shy, take a look and support your school and children here.  Quite a few of these roles involve little more than turning up and making coffee/tea at certain events so please do have a look and add your name.  From experience, the more parents who get involved, the more the HT community thrives!
