25th September 2013

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have some lovely social events coming up; this Friday is the “MacMillan Coffee Morning” and next Wednesday we have a “Welcome Evening” at 8pm. Please come along to meet new people and friends and become part of “The Holy Trinity Family”. Our PTA has worked hard to organise these events and we would love your support.

Kind regards,

Penny Cox      This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Jeans for Genes Day.We will be able to let you know what we raised for this fabulous charity next week. Thank you so much for you support.

Samaritan’s Purse. The last day to bring the boxes in will be 25th October.

Trim Trail and Fort.We wanted the children to be able to really enjoy their new play frames as much as possible so we relaxed the rules of children using the frames after school. As it will be dark after half term we will bring back the rule of children not using the equipment in order to ensure their safety.

Harvest Prayers. Thank you to Scarlette-Rose, Connie, Ysis and Stephen A.S who read the prayers in church on Sunday.

Christ’s Secondary School. The school is appointing a new head teacher this week. Once I know who it is I will invite them in to talk to parents about their plans for the school.

Medication.  If your child needs any sort of medication at school, you must take it to the office and complete a medical consent form.

Communication. We want our school communication to be the best it can be. To try to achieve this two Twitter accounts have been set up.  If you would like to follow what is happening in sport at Holy Trinity then please sign up to @HolyTSport and if you want to follow what is happening in the  Reception classes please sign up to @HT_EarlyYears

Student Update form.  Please make sure you return your student update form ASAP.  Also, please remember to let us know if you change your ‘phone number, email or home address during the course of the year.

Governor’s meeting.  The full governing body will be meeting at school at 6.15pm next Monday.  Please let Mrs Prendergast know if you would like to attend as an observer; This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Hi All,

Now that all our Giraffes and Zebras are safely in their safari parks, another very warm welcome to all our new Holy Trinity families. Please do contact us on the e-mail at the bottom of this letter if we can help you find your hooves at all – we’ve all been there and are very happy to help.

So now we all need to get to know each other. And how better than with our first fabulous social evening:

GUILTY PLEASURES WELCOME EVENING: WEDS 2ND OCT @ 8PM

Bring along something naughty and nice to eat or drink (remembering we are a nut-free school) and join us for cheesy tunes and lots of laughs as we explain what the PTA does. WE WANT EVERYONE THERE, so whether you’re a new face or an old-timer, come along for some snacks ‘n’ sniggers. You know you want to.

CALLING ALL CLASS REPS

A huge thank you to Judy Anderson, who is already doing a schamazing job as class rep co-ordinator. We’re still looking for class reps for the Nursery and Reception – if you fancy helping your class to remember Mufti days, bake sales and whatever happened at last night’s class drinks, then do get in touch with Judy on This email address is being protected from spambots. HELP THE PTA THE REALLY EASY WAY

Raising money for the PTA is clinically proven to help reduce cellulite and unwanted hair growth. Here are just some of the easy peasy things you can do to put some pennies in the PTA piggy bank without moving a muscle. Except the ones that open your wallet.

School fundraising: http://schoolfundraising.org.uk/holy-trinity-ce-primary

This is really easy. By doing your online shopping via the above link (you don’t need to register or sign on, simply go via this page), the PTA will receive between 1 – 10% cash back on all your online purchases from Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Amazon, M&S, Toys R Us, Debenhams and a host of others. There is a link via the PTA website too (http://ptaholytrinityschool.org.uk). Tell Granny, tell Aunty, tell Father Christmas. It all really helps.

Northbrook wrapping paper

I have sent presents to parties in tin foil, newspaper and Winnie the Pooh kitchen roll. Don’t be like me. Stock up on wrapping paper from Northbrook for parties, Christmas and all your wrapping needs and the PTA makes 22% on every purchase. Donna Connor is co-ordinating – details coming soon to a book bag near you.

Abel and Cole

These delicious bags of organic fruit, veg or both are available every week – please contact the lovely Dominique Campbell on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you’d like to order a bag as a one-off, or every week.

Happy days everyone,
