We have been having a very busy time. Year 6 is having a great time in France and at home.  Our reception children are now in school and our nursery children will be in by the end of the week. We are so pleased to welcome our new children and families.

Kind regards,

Hello friends,

An enormous thank you to everyone who helped us to make Saturday such a happy circus. Astonishingly, we made £1700 profit and we are so grateful to everyone who touted tickets, hustled hotdogs and bought booze (not just the PTA committee). Particular thanks go to Emma Jones who pulled a shift on the day that would make a triathelete weep, Fiona Vigar for co-ordinating ticket sales and Helen Christou for painting more faces than Madame Tussauds. For every event, I am initiating the Trevor Bell Award for services to PTA logistics and I’m delighted to announce that the inaugural winner is: Trevor Bell. Cheque’s in the post, Trev.

Caring Coffee: Macmillan Coffee Morning, Friday 27th September @ 9am

Every Friday, the PTA hosts Happy Fridays from drop-off until 9.45am in the PTA hut. But on Friday 27th Sept, it is a particularly special coffee morning, when all proceeds will be forwarded to Macmillan Cancer Support. Come and have a cup of Rosy with us and know we’re helping a really special cause.

Shhhh! What’s yours? Guilty Pleasures Night: Weds 2nd October @ 8pm

The PTA is hosting its first social of the year to welcome all our perfect parents back to school. Share your guilty pleasure with us, from Mars Bar sandwiches to the Macarena. Bring along some yummy, nut-free food, suggest a cheesy tune and enjoy our honesty bar. You’ll learn a lot about the PTA. and each other.

Dads United

You might have missed the transfer window, but it’s not too late to sign to our very own Dads’ football team. The boys regularly do us proud and if you can bend it like Beckham, please get in touch with Neil Jeffries at This email address is being protected from spambots. Situations Vacant

The PTA is always looking for people to exploit…er, help… and this week we have two jobs that need your skills. As many of you know, the brilliant Becky Jeffries has been designing our posters, tickets and brochures since the dawn of creation and we’d love to find some graphic designers to share the load. Could you spare some time to help us promote our events?

We also need volunteers to co-ordinate Christmas tree sales this year. This was a hugely lucrative and popular initiative last year and we’d love to repeat it this year – could you deliver a little Christmas cheer?

That’s all for now, folks – have a great week,

Mary Smyth (Ringmistress)
