Our Values

At Holy Trinity we welcome you to an exciting world of learning, discovery and friendship. We are passionate about nurturing every child, helping them to find and develop their own talents and be the best that they possibly can. Children will learn within a Christian community, surrounded by support, kindness, respect and fun; and will leave with fantastic memories to cherish forever.

9th October 2013

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you to Leopard Class for their assembly last week; I hear that it was excellent and I’m delighted to know that there is a DVD being produced so I won’t have missed it completely. The PTA welcome evening was a great success. Do come along to one of the PTA meetings; either 9.30am on the 18th or 8pm on the 20th October.

After school sports clubs There is a separate letter going out today. Please check for it in your child’s school bag.

Visit from the new head teacher of Christ’s secondary school Mrs Helen Dixon is visiting us on the afternoon of Wednesday 23rd October. Please come along if you want to hear about her plans for the school.

2K cross country event in Richmond last Sunday Congratulations to Rebecca, Oliver, Jasmine, Spencer and Freddie who took part in this event.

Whole Food Market Thank you to Norah and Lily who represented the school yesterday; they sold strawberry jam to the Mayor and green (very apt!) tomato chutney to Zac Goldsmith.

Any old wellies? Our gardening club would love to have your old wellies for planters. Please bring along to the office.

Coats The weather is going to turn much colder this week so please ensure that your child has a coat at school.

P.E. kits Children need to have their full P.E. kit in school. Please support your child by making sure this is the case. If children don’t have their kit they have to miss their break time; we really don’t want this to happen so please make sure the kit is in school.

Strike action 17th October You may be aware that teaching unions have called for a strike on Thursday 17th in protest to the changes to teachers’ pay and pensions. If any classes have to be closed as a result of this action I will let you know on Friday.

Dads’ football Thanks to Neil Jeffries enthusiasm we have a great Dads’ football team but they are always looking for more men to add to their team. The team had a wonderful start to the season by beating St Mary Mags 4-0. This Sunday they are playing East Sheen at Barn Elms at 2pm; they would dearly love some support!

Local Community

Kick London. This is a Christian charity that provides the opportunity for children to play football for free. They run an academy at Holy Trinity on Sundays 11:30am – 1pm. All children between the ages of 7 – 14 are welcome. Please don’t wear boots with metal studs. For more information please phone Tom Rutter on 07976233447

Hello again,

I hope you’re having a super week. This week’s note is dedicated to our Admin Angels, Mrs Prendergast and Mrs Bell, who deal with a bewildering array of HT business on all of our behalves. Whether it’s a misplaced cardie or a strategically placed sick bowl, the ladies do a great deal over and above to help us all out – do give them a smile at the window. You never know when you might need a smiley face plaster.

A great night was had by all at the Guilty Pleasures evening last week. Who knew there was a Tiger mum in our midst who eats Carnation condensed milk out of the tin? Or a Panda mum with a penchant for pink Lambrusco? Or that so many of you rely on Haribo to get you through the day? Thanks to all who could make it. Your generous donations put £150 in the PTA coffers and plenty of Sauvignon in our souls. Once again, competition was fierce for the Trevor Bell prize for PTA logistics, but the jury has deliberated and decided that the winner is: Mr Trevor Bell. Trevor wins a free ticket to the Christmas Fair, congratulations.

Well done too to our Dads football team, who are having a season that would make even Mourinho smile. They still need new signings and plenty of fresh legs, so if you’re interested in joining the squad, please contact player/manager Neil Jefferies at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Their next fixture is v East Sheen at Barn Elms Playing fields on Sunday 13th Oct at 2pm – please come along and support our boys.

On the subject of the beautiful game, we are seeking sponsors for the girls’ and boys’ football teams for their new strip. If you or your business could sponsor one or both teams, drop me a line at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. We’ve got the field. We’ve got the talent. Let’s get the T-shirts.

If you have a problem. If no one else can help. And if you can find them.

Maybe you can hire: The PTA Team.

Don’t forget your Bag2School, which will be collected next Tuesday. The bags are coming home this week, please fill them with your unwanted clothes and textiles and raise some funds for the PTA. An excellent chance to clear out before Christmas and to quietly bin those jeggings you bought in a moment of madness. Please leave any donations in the green PTA storage container by the junior playframe.

Also coming home this week are the Christmas Fair raffle tickets. This is a massive fundraiser for the fair and first prize is once again an iPad mini, so persuade your friends and family to have a go. Tickets are £1 each and please return money, ticket stubs and unused tickets to the office, marked for the Christmas raffle. You help the PTA, they might win a prize. Everyone’s a winner. But mainly the person who actually wins.

Research shows that 8 out of 10 parents who raise money for the PTA can now fit into their skinny jeans. Remember to shop online via School Fundraising: http://schoolfundraising.org.uk/holy-trinity-ce-primary and check out our website http://ptaholytrinityschool.org.uk. Northbrook wrapping flyers came home in bags last week, but you can also order directly through our PTA website.
