Holy Trinity Newsletter

Dear Parents and Carers,I hope that you enjoyed the summer fair as much as I did! It was lovely to see everyone come together and have fun and the sun shone!!Massive thanks to everyone who made it happen, especially to Julian, who’s Herculean strength and energy kept everything going, from the set up to the tidy up. A fabulous day.

We are really sorry to say that Miss Clare Savage (Kestrel Class teacher) will be leaving Holy Trinity at the end of this year. Miss Savage has a real passion for outside learning and has been training as a Forest School specialist. She has completed and passed her training course and so will be pursuing this as a full time career from September. We are very much hoping to keep in touch with Miss Savage and have her back at Holy Trinity for some Forest School input. I’m sure that you will agree that she has been a great asset and a lovely teacher.

Thank you to Mrs Ashby and Miss Morgan for supporting the choirs in their fantastic performance at the Rose Theatre last week – we hear that they were considered the best! Well done everyone.

Best wishes, Penny Cox

Hay fever If your child suffers with hay fever symptoms and may need Piriton during the day, please bring a bottle to the office and fill out a medical consent form. The same applies if your child might need Calpol or Nurofen for any reason.

National Drowning Prevention Week 16-26 June. One person drowns every 20 hours in the UK and hundreds more suffer life-changing injuries through near drowning. Drowning Prevention Week aims to teach people how to stay safe near water. Please do be careful with your children near water. If your children can’t swim, do use the summer holidays to teach them.

Chaplain’s CornerChaplain's Corner: Our School is Holy Trinity School, named after the nature of God who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit!  Paul says in Romans 8 that the Spirit of God comes to live in those who put their trust in Jesus so that we know God as our Father. What a promise! And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give you life forever! May you know the love of the Father, the mercy of the Son and the help of the Spirit today.

Important InformationUniform check. Just to let you know that we will be carrying out some uniform checks over the next couple of weeks. I have noticed that some children are wearing trainers and brightly coloured socks (on non PE day). Tracksuit bottoms / leggings should be navy or black – not brightly coloured. Please do stick to the uniform code. Thank you.

Lego Cards. Please don’t let the children bring these into school as they do create a distraction.
