Your job title / role: Head Teacher.

How many years you have worked at Holy Trinity?
Nine years.

What do you love about Holy Trinity?
Everything! Particularly the team and community feel – the children, staff, parents and governors all working together. I love the quality of the relationships between the adults and the children, I love the sense of enjoyment in learning and being together. I love celebrating the children’s achievements.
My job is challenging, fun and rewarding – I can’t imagine doing anything else, anywhere else!

What has been your most notable achievement over the last few years?
Seeing the school expand, completing the new building project and seeing standards in the school rise.

What are your ambitions, both professionally and personally for the next few years?

My ambition is to ensure that Holy Trinity is seen as an outstanding school. I want the children and local community to be proud of Holy Trinity and recognise it for being a very special place. This is both a personal and professional ambition!

What do you remember most about your own time at primary school and does this impact on your work now?
I loved primary school, especially “the nature table”, listening to stories, singing in assembly and being with my friends. I used to go to school very early in the morning just to be able to sit in the classroom to soak up the atmosphere!

What were your favourite subjects at school, and did you ever have any dislikes?
I especially liked English and biology. French and maths were never my favourite, although I really like teaching maths now.

Finally, if you had to give one or two words of advice to the children at Holy Trinity what would it be?
Persevere and smile! Be different and make a difference.
