Newsletter 23rd January 2022

Dear Parents and Carers 23/06/2022
The Summer Fair will be held tomorrow after school. Gates will open at 2.45pm – please either pre-pay or have pound
coins available to pay to ensure long queues do not build up. Please then wait outside your child's classroom until 3pm
when the children will be dismissed. School will finish at 3pm for all children so do try to pick your child up promptly
to join in with the fun.
Crazy hat and hair day/Mufti

There was some truly crazy hair and some amazing hats on display last Friday as chocolate contributions were brought
into school ready for the chocolate tombola at the Summer Fair. Children will be allowed to wear Mufti tomorrow
(unless they have worn it today because they are at Barnes Literary Festival tomorrow) in exchange for cakes etc
Football

Year 3 girls and boys football teams played at the Russell school on Tuesday. They both had good matches,
represented the school brilliantly and had a great time. As it was a friendly match and children were given the
opportunity to represent Holy Trinity for the very first time. Well done one and all!

Egyptian Day

Last week Year 3 enjoyed Egyptian Day in real Egyptian sunshine! They created papyrus drawings, made headdresses
and even tried to make an Egyptian mummy! In the afternoon they enjoyed an Egyptian banquet and tried some
traditional foods from the time including figs, dates and flatbreads which they had made in the morning.
Ancient Greece

We were transported back to Ancient Greece last Friday thanks to our year 5’s. Kestrels and Falcons had fun showing
their parents and the school what they have been learning about the Ancient Greeks. This included Gods and
Goddesses, fables and myths. It was clear we have a lot to thank the Ancient Greeks for. We are extremely proud of
how well the year 5's learnt their parts and stepped in for anyone who was away on the day.
