Holy Trinity Newsletter                                  09/01/2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

Happy New Year! I hope that you all had a time to rest, relax and recharge your batteries over the Christmas break. It was lovely to welcome the children back on Tuesday. As we look forward to 2020, we talked about New Year Resolutions (we heard what some of yours were too) and thought about the school values of Aspiration, Love and Community and how we can show them in all that we say and do.We were very excited to hear the news that Mr & Mrs Brown have a new baby boy, Jasper, who was born on 7th January and we look forward to meeting him soon. With my very best wishes for 2020.

Important Information

Attendance We are very appreciative of how much you value your children’s education and the fact that most parents are working with the school to make our attendance the best that it can be. The overall attendance rate for the autumn term 2019 was 96.6% which is almost 1% lower than at the end of the autumn term 2018. Attendance during the final week of term fell to 92.6% with 9% of children absent on the final day of term. It would be fantastic if we could try improve our overall attendance figure - ending the year as close to 98% as possible would be an excellent achievement.

PTA event and mufti day Just a quick note to say that we will be having a mufti day on Friday 17th January. Children can wear mufti in exchange for £1 per child and the proceeds will go towards buying the chocolate prizes and raffle prizes for the Family Chocolate Bingo Night on Friday 31st January. Parents can purchase Bingo Night tickets using these links. Neighbours On the final day of term I had an email from a neighbour of the school complaining about inconsiderate parking and litter claiming that members of the Holy Trinity School Community were responsible. Could I please ask all of you to consider how we could be a blessing rather than an inconvenience to our school neighbours ensuring that we treat them and their properties with respect. Thank you for your support in this matter.
