Holy Trinity Newsletter                           12/02/2020

Dear Parents and Carers,It was lovely to see many of you at the Parents Consultation meetings – the afternoon session in the hall made this more possible. I hope you found the meetings informative.

On Tuesday, seven of our children, from year 3-6, competed in the borough RISE swimming gala at Pools on the park. It was a great event and Holy Trinity came away with an impressive medal count of 6 golds, 1 silver and 2 bronze. The group had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the event, they well all very well behaved and waited patiently for their races. Well done Amy, Costya, Dean, William, Lucas, Luka and Octavio.

I hope you all have an enjoyable half-term break and look forward to seeing everyone return on Monday 24th February.

Best wishesAlison This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Coronavirus You should not be unduly worried about the possibility of your children catching the Coronavirus. However, the government have issued information that suggests the best way to slow the spread of almost any germs: Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze. Bin the tissue, and to kill the germs, wash your hands with soap and water, or use a sanitiser gel. •If you have arrived back from China within 14 days follow the specific advice for returning travellers. Chaplains Message

I was reading this morning that the average person knows about 20,000 words, using 2,000 different words a week and speaks about 16,000 words a day on average. Interestingly by the time a child reaches the age of five they will have been given over 20,000 words of praise but a whopping 250,000 words like 'do not do that'. In the book of James 3:5 we read the tongue may be small but is an incredibly powerful part of our body...So all our words really do matter!
