Holy Trinity Newsletter

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you to everyone who helped us to have such a fabulous time on Saturday! There was a lovely atmosphere and I know all of the children loved it. The amount of work that it takes to hold the summer fair cannot be underestimated; it’s massive and so is our appreciation. It was a wonderful day, supported by our wonderful community.

Congratulations to Eagle Class for their very first class assembly last Friday – well done. Penny Cox

Important information Junior Library. Following yesterday’s Junior Library themed Assembly, please remember to submit your Finger Scanning Consent Form online via the following link by Fri 1 July: Paper versions of the form are available from the school office.

Sports Day. Sports day for the infants will take place this morning but we have cancelled this afternoon for the juniors and afternoon nursery due to the weather forecast.

Pupil Parliament. I am delighted to say that Beau Matthews and Milan Curtis - Brown have been elected by their peers as the Holy Trinity members of the Borough's Pupil Parliament.

Head teacher’s award. A huge thank you to Liberty, Helena and Max M for coming to our governors’ meeting on Monday to talk about the head teacher’s award – you did a wonderful job; the governors were most impressed.

School meals. Please make sure that all payments for this term are paid by Monday 11th July at the latest.

Football Cards. Please don’t bring these into school to swap, we don’t want any to get lost and they do cause a bit of a distraction. Thank you.

Reports. These will be sent home on Friday. Please do read the accompanying letter carefully as it explains the new assessment levels. The reports are for parents to read and then share the appropriate messages with their children.

Chaplain’s Corner When Jesus saw the crowd, he had compassion on them because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Mark 9:36

Hello everyone                                                                                                 29/06/2016

What a wonderful day we had at our Fair on Saturday. The turnout was brilliant, the atmosphere was pure HT and the weather behaved itself (wouldn’t really have been the same without that shower now would it?). Many of you have been kind enough to reach out to let us know how much fun you had. If you have any specific constructive feedback (be it good or not so good, we want to know!) about any aspect of the Fair, please complete our quick Fair Survey via this link

School Hide & Seek Raffle winner: Claire and Trevor Bell’s Hide & Seek Raffle has been a great success! Mrs Cox will be doing the draw later this week and we will let the lucky winner know. They and their friends are in for a treat!

Silent Auction winners: will have been notified by email. Please pay for your items by PayPal if possible and pick up your vouchers etc from the school office once paid.Raffle Winners: have all been notified – congratulations! So, aside from having a blast, just how much did the Fair raise for our children and our wonderful school? Having taken into account all costs the net profit we raised is: A WHOPPING £15,000!

Class Reps will be sent a break down for their stall later this week. Thank you to everyone who came along to make this happen - and most especially to all of you hard working busy people who gave up your time and energy to make the Fair the success it was. You know who you are and we applaud you all!! A few people who need a special mention: To Neil Jeffries who spent most of the day zooming up and down the school grounds giving tractor rides – we know what you want for Christmas Neil!To the BBQ team for working tirelessly to keep us all fedTo the Governors and the Bar Team who kept us watered To our wonderful teachers who kept the kids going with ping-pong, lucky dips, science stall, football and the CubeTo Kelly and her colleague, the ISS ladies who spent the day gradually getting more and more covered in candy flossTo the Aquatic Mammals, AKA the Silent Auction team, for pulling together a great list of prizesTo Grant (Parent and owner of Phoenix House Therapies, Kew 07590 121223) who massaged his way through the afternoonTo the team of resilient children who, after a long day at the Fair, grabbed hold of bin bags and picked up all the rubbish – how cool are you!!!!To Trevor Bell and those few who stuck around, long after everyone else had gone, to do the final tidy up, enabling us to hand the school grounds and classrooms back to Mrs Cox in a reasonable state
