Dear Parents and Carers,

What a special end to the term. The children sang so beautifully at the Carol Service and our Infant Nativities were a joy to behold. Thank you for all your lovely gifts for the members of staff. I am so grateful to the whole staff team for their talent and dedication to our children. We wish you a fabulous Christmas and a very happy New Year.

Last Wednesday, I had an inspiring day at Cambridge University with our budding mathematicians, Max Meikle, Isabelle Jardine, Matthew Durrant and Noah Hickman, who were in the final of the Explore Learning Mathematics Challenge. 700 schools had entered and we were in the top 5 that got through to the final. Our team did very well but weren’t placed in the top two, however they came away with some goody bags and the knowledge that they had done brilliantly to get there. It was the first time that a team from South London had made it to the final.

Do enjoy reading your fabulous Kingfisher Frenzy, our in-house magazine produced by children from Year 6 supported by one of our governors and several of our parents, it really is of a very high standard and tells you all the things that you really wanted to know!

Please remember that we finish at 2.15pm today and that we are back at school on Wednesday 3rd January.

With very best wishes for a lovely Christmas,Mrs Cox
