Holy Trinity Newsletter

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you for a treat of an assembly Giraffe Class; we loved your version of “Oliver” – very well done!

I had a wonderful time “At the Races” on Friday evening, our PTA certainly know how to organise a fun-filled evening. Thank you to all the organiser and to everyone who was able to come along to support.

It will be Mrs Sharp’s (p/t Leopard Class teacher) final day this Friday. I’m sure that you will all join me in wishing her and Evan, her husband, all the very best for the future with Lena and their new baby when he/she arrives. Mrs Sharp is a deeply caring and inspiring teacher who will be greatly missed – hopefully we’ll see her back from time to time. We are blessed to have been able to recruit Miss Jordyn Mortimer who will take over on Thursdays and Fridays after half term. I’m sure that you will make her feel very welcome.

I hope that you are finding this week’s parent/teacher meetings information. If you have any issues, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I can’t believe how quickly this half term has sped by, we hope that you all have a lovely time with your families next week.Warm wishes, Penny Cox

Important Information

Year 4 football team. The team took part in a tournament this week. They lost two of their matches and won four – well done!

Poppies. After half term we will be selling poppies to the children. Minimum contribution will be 20p.

Parent governor. Hopefully you will have seen our communication about the election of a parent governor. Our governors play a vital role in the leadership of the school. We have always been extremely blessed by the quality of our governors so if you are interested please do contact us.

Trainers for PE. You will be aware from the newsletter that was sent out last academic year that we stipulated that PE trainers should be plain blue, white or black for PE. This will keep our PE uniform looking smart and also prevent “trainer/brand envy” amongst the children. The year’s grace wasn’t applied to the trainers because I didn’t feel that it was necessary as children’s foot wear is replaced more regularly; commonly at the beginning of the year. Having done some research on line there seems to be a good selection of options available in these colours. If you have just bought trainers that don’t meet the criteria, please replace them when you can.

Coats. Please make sure that your child brings a coat to school each day from now onwards – the weather can be very unpredictable.
