Holy Trinity Newsletter

Dear Parents and Carers,

Congratulations to Rainbow Class, who amazed us by your fabulous “Super Heroes” assembly on Friday. We loved your singing, clear voices and super hero moves – what proud Mummies and Daddies you have!

Yesterday two children from Year 5, Miss Anderson and Mr Pooley were our “Head teachers for the day”. In addition to holding our school assembly, helping in classes and supervising the playground, they also wrote a report about our fabulous summer fair;“Saturday the 22nd of June 2019 was the day of the Summer Fair at Holy Trinity. It was a great success, with lots of money raised for the school. The most popular events were the Tractor Ride with lots of parents and children wanting a go and the Chocolate Tombola with lots of delicious treats to be won. Holy Trinity even managed to borrow an enormous slide that was at least 2 stories tall, the lucky dip was next to the chickens and Holly the tortoise. Another great success was the Obstacle Course and the Bouncy Castle, on which everyone had at least 1 turn! The main event this year was the school Rock Band, playing a collection of songs including Seven Nation Army and Shape of You. They got a great round of applause as all their practising had really paid off. There was a huge amount of competitions such as the Coconut Shy and the Hook the Duck. The Year 6 children held a fantastic fund-raising store with books and other items. All in all, it was a fantastic Summer Fair!”I absolutely loved our fair – thank you to everyone who pitched in to make it such a great day for everyone and a really special one for me.

Best wishes,Penny Cox

Important information:Gate opening times Members of the public have been using our school as a cut through so we are now keeping our gates closed until 8.40am (except for clubs).

School equipment before and after school Please do make sure that your children don’t go on the play equipment before and after school. Thank you for your co-operation with this.

Lost property. Our lost property bins are over flowing! Please do make sure that your child’s name is in their clothes. Using a laundry pen is the best as ball point fades. We are going to have a sort through the bins over the next week and then take the residue to be recycled, so please have a look through before Friday 5th July.
