Vision and Principles
At Holy Trinity we want to inspire every child to develop a love of science through active and engaging learning that is relevant to their everyday lives and experiences. Teaching will enquiry-based and will actively promote recall of knowledge. An appropriate level of challenge will be provided for all children.
The teaching of science is guided by our science principles, which were developed in consultation with our whole school community. We believe that science teaching and learning should be:
Challenging – providing appropriate challenge for everyone.
Active – encourage active enquiry by asking and answering our own questions.
Relevant – be relevant to our everyday experiences in the world around us.
Knowledge – provide the scientific knowledge we need to solve problems.
Engaging – be fun and engaging for everyone.
Enquiry – encourage active enquiry by asking and answering our own questions.
