Dear Parents and Carers 18/11/2021
Reception Class made this beautiful poppy as they learnt about Remembrance last week
HOLY TRINITY IN THE PRESS
Many of you will have seen that Holy Trinity has been in the news today:
Contrary to what the article in MailOnline suggests, we have received only positive reactions from parents about the change to house names. The change was entirely driven and led by our pupils and they feel proud of having effected this change and knowing their views were heard.
There may be further press interest in the subject and I hope you will support the school in our position.
Thank you, Michele Marcus. Chair of Governors
COVID-19
There has been an increase in the number of confirmed cases in school which prompted discussions with Public Health England. Whilst the cases are in a pocket of the school and the numbers still small as a part of our school community as a whole, we have been asked to remind you that you should not send your child to school if they are exhibiting any of the most common COVID-19 symptoms:
- high temperature
- consistent cough
- loss of taste or smell
We have also been asked to promote regular testing in addition to testing when a case has been confirmed in your child’s class. We will maintain good ventilation in classrooms as much as possible and ensure regular hand washing and cleaning.
Parent Governor
If you would like to be involved in helping to shape our school and raise standards to give our children the best experience possible at Holy Trinity, do consider becoming a parent governor. The closing date for nominations is noon on Tuesday 23rd November. Please contact Louise Prendergast lprendergast@htprimary.com in the school office for more information or a nomination form.
School Uniform
Please can we remind you that trainers are not part of the school uniform unless on a PE day. There are a large number of children wearing trainers. Black Leggings are not part of the uniform for girls please make sure they are wearing either a navy school skirt or school trousers. As the weather turns colder may we also remind you that boots are not part of the uniform so should not be worn in school. There will be uniform checks from next week so please ensure that your child is in the correct school and PE uniform at all times.
