Dear Parents and Carers 23/02/2023
I hope you all had an enjoyable half term break
I just wanted to remind you that school will be closed for an inset day next Monday 27th February. Next week, we will also be celebrating World Book Day over two days – 1st and 2nd March. If children wish to dress up as a book character on Thursday 2nd March, we will be having a costume parade.
Whilst 2nd March is another NEU strike day, it is only a regional one so our teachers have indicated that they will not be striking on this occasion.
Safety on site
Please help us to keep your child and adults on site as safe as possible. You can do this by preventing them from cycling or scooting when on the school site or playing on the 3G or climbing frames before and after school. If an accident were to occur there are no first aiders on duty and this would mean that the school would be held liable and uninsured. Thank you for supporting us with this.
Fruit
As you are aware, there are some supply issues with fruit at the moment and our deliveries for Nursery, Reception and. Key Stage 1 have been impacted. We are still receiving some but not in the usual volumes. We hope this is a short-term issue but you may wish to send your child to school with a piece of fruit to ensure they have something to snack on. Also, a reminder for those who bring a snack in for break time in Key Stage 2, this should only be a piece of fruit.
Carnival
To celebrate the end of our carnival dance topic, year 4 held their own carnival which was an array of fun, energy, noise and colour. The whole year group joined together and had a great time.
