Dear Parents and Carers 25/05/2023
Next week will be half-term so we hope you have a wonderful week and look forward to seeing you again on Monday
5th June.
Year 6 visit the Imperial War Museum
On Friday last week, Year 6 visited the Imperial War Museum in London. This was an opportunity to consolidate our
learning about World Wars 1 and 2 that they have completed throughout this year. They visited the WW1 and WW2
galleries and saw first-hand many of the things that they have studied. The children went inside an Anderson and a
Morrison shelter then walked through a model trench and saw V1 and V2 rockets. The children were very engaged and
interested throughout the trip but one of the things that fascinated the children most was a model of a terraced house
in the 1940s. They gained an appreciation of the impact of the wars, both on the participants and on those left behind
in Britain. It was a tiring day, but well worth it!
Year 5 Assembly
We were transported back to Victorian times last Friday thanks to our year 5’s. Leopards and Lions had fun showing
their parents and the school what they have been learning about the Victorians. We were extremely proud of how
well the year 5's performed their parts and stepped in for anyone who was away on the day.
Dentist needed!
Are any of you dentists and would be willing to come in and talk to the reception children about oral health. If so, Mrs
Reynolds would love to hear from you lreynolds@htprimary.com
Prayer Space
This week, all children and staff have been given an opportunity to spend some time in a Prayer Space. Our Prayer
Space this year was designed to help the children reflect on aspects of our school vision. Our vision is to have nurtured
children to love learning, love one another and love God. We sum this up as:
‘Love learning, love one another, love God.’
Eco Refill Rescue Team
Our Refill Rescue Team will open their shop for the first time this Friday on the 3G between 3.30
and 3.50pm. Please bring your own 500ml bottles and enough cash to purchase the products.
Parent questionnaire
If you haven’t already done so, we would be grateful if you could find the time to complete the annual questionnaire.
Here is the link https://forms.gle/RcGYZrDWrLTAQ5n18
The deadline for completion is Friday 9th June. Completed questionnaires go into a prize draw for a £30 M&S voucher
so add your name and phone number at the end if you would like to be included as responses are anonymous. Your
feedback is greatly appreciated.
