Christmas Fair
Thank you to everybody who contributed to the Christmas Fair in any way but special thanks to Phil Lewis and the PTA
for pulling it all together. It was a wonderful occasion enjoyed by children, parents and staff alike.

Litter Pickers

A special thank you to this group of litter pickers who without prompting collected a wheelbarrow full of waste
from the playground following our Christmas Fair. So great to see our school values in action!
Maternity Cover
Hayley Merrett’s last day before going on maternity leave will be next Friday, 8th December. We wish her well and
look forward to hearing news of her baby’s arrival.
For the rest of this term, Mrs Lunow will be covering Miss Merrett’s days but we are delighted to inform you that
Katherine Matheson will be teaching in Ladybird class on Thursdays and Fridays from January. Katherine comes with
significant teaching experience and we are very much looking forward to welcoming her to our team. She is in school
today and will be back again next Thursday getting to know the children and routines, giving you an opportunity to see
and meet her.

We have now added the facility to read our website in 12 different languages. If you look at the welcome page, you
will see a flag in the bottom right hand corner. You can click on this and change it to other languages. If the language
that you would find most helpful is not there, do please get in touch and we will see if it can be added.
Eco Refill Rescue
The Eco Team will have tables selling, and promoting, refills every Friday right until Christmas. The shop will be open
from 3.30 – 3.45pm. Parents could bring in their bottles to be refilled or purchase pre-filled ones in Bottles for Life', or
buy soap bars. Dates and venue for the next two openings are:
Friday 1st December: Outside Y3/ Y4 area & Friday 8th December: Outside Y5/ Y6 area
