Intent

At Holy Trinity School, we recognise the impact technology has in the everyday part of our lives, as such its use will play an essential and important part of our pupil’s home and work environments. Therefore, an awareness of the importance of educating our pupils on how to use technology positively, responsibly and safely is at the forefront of our consideration at Holy Trinity.

The new national curriculum for Computing has been developed to equip young people with the foundational skills, knowledge and understanding of computing that they will need throughout their lives, promoting a love for learning and encouraging a lifelong curiosity about the rapidly changing world of technology. In addition to implementing this, we aim to support our children to be responsible, enthusiastic, confident and creative users of information and communication technology (including desktop computers, laptops, tablets, programmable robots, cameras, and audio equipment).
