Dear Parents and Carers 09/06/22
I hope you all had a happy half term. It was a relief that most of you that travelled abroad managed to return in time
for school on Tuesday. It has been nice hearing about some of the other things the children did over the week
including celebrating the Jubilee.
Thank you to those of you who have been participating in Bike Week 2022 this week – if you haven’t, it’s not too late to
‘get on your bikes’ tomorrow.
Swimming Squad
Well done to our swimming squad who performed brilliantly despite very short notice. They gave their all and were
very supportive of each other. We are awaiting confirmation of timings but the squad were very strong and competed
well in both individually and in the relays. Our mixed freestyle relay team finished as one of the quickest teams in the
heats and then 5th overall in the final!
Football Festival
Some of our year 2 boys have been representing Holy Trinity at a Football Festival today. They had lots of fun and won
all of their matches. Well done boys, we are proud of you!
Whole school evacuation
On Tuesday morning, the whole school will practise an off-site evacuation. This is long overdue due to the disruptions
caused by COVID over the last few years. It will take place close to the start of the school day so we would be grateful
if you could ensure that your child arrives on time and that you leave Carrington Road as swiftly as possible to avoid
any distractions to the children. Many thanks for your support with this.
Values Champions
Values Champions certificates and House Points will be awarded tomorrow due to the short week this week.
Attendance: Overall 94.01% Owls 98.92%
Birthday books
Thank you to those who have contributed birthday books for our school libraries recently – we hope you all had a
lovely birthday.

Parent and Teacher Prayer
Our next prayer meeting will be this Friday 10th June @2.30pm – 3.15pm in the Kingfisher Hut. The prayer meeting is
open to all, so please do come along if you are able to.
We’d love to be supporting our school community through prayer, so if you’re unable to attend but have something
you would value prayer for, then please do email any prayer requests beforehand to Nina Barclay at
