Dear Parents and Carers 06/10/2022
Marvellous Mathematicians
We have had two maths teams go to Hampton School for inter-school maths competitions over the last week. Year 2
came third out of 15 schools and year 5 came third out of 28 schools so amazing performances by both teams. Well
done!
Birthday Books
Thank you to those of you who have donated birthday books to the school libraries. We have had a number of queries
regarding the books on our wish lists so here they are again. Many thanks for considering this:

Outdoor PE
Please send your child in with a waterproof jacket that they can wear for outdoor PE to prevent their clothing getting
wet. Please remember that tracksuit bottoms must be plain navy – no logos or leggings. Many thanks.
Christmas Card Competition
The Mayor and Leader of the Council are looking for budding artists to design a Christmas Card for them to send out to
local organisations. Designs should be A5 in size and submitted by 5pm on Friday 11th November either by email
mayors.office@richmond.gov.uk or by post to:
Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition, Mayor’s Office, York House, Richmond Road, Twickenham TW1 3AA
Write the name, age, school or home address on the back
In addition to the design being made into a real card, the winner and three runners up will be invited to have tea with
the Mayor in the Parlour
Appointments
We have an increasing number of children being taken out of school throughout the school day for a range of

If you don’t stop now.
A long time ago
The land was green and humans
Were never to be seen
When they came along
All went wrong
And the land was not so clean
If you don’t stop now, the animals will die
If you don’t stop now, the world will cry
If you don’t stop now, the earth will be plastic
If you don’t stop now, life won’t be fantastic
If you don’t stop now, the coral will go
If you don’t stop now, the fishes won’t show
If you don’t stop now, the world will get hot
If you don’t stop now, icebergs will be a dot
But if you stop now, the animals won’t die
If you stop now, the world won’t cry
If you stop now, Earth won’t be plastic
If you stop now, life will be fantastic
If you stop now, the coral won’t go
If you stop now, the fishes will show
If you stop now, the world won’t get hot
If you stop now, icebergs won’t be a dot
If you stop now, the sea will gently wave
If you stop now, our world will be saved
