Dear Parents and Carers 12/10/2023
Year 3 trip to Gunnersbury Park Museum
Year 3 had a fabulous day pretending to live like those in the Stone Age. After working so hard, the children found time to play in the playground at the museum too.
Parent Consultation Meetings
These will take place next Wednesday 18th October between 2pm and 7pm. Bookings went live yesterday but do please speak to your class teacher if you are having any problems. If you have booked an appointment that covers the end of the school day, please make sure that you have made alternative arrangements for your child’s collection from class.
Volunteer Eco Parent Ambassadors
We are thrilled to invite you to be part of something truly special at our school – the Parent Eco Ambassadors Team! Your involvement in this exciting initiative can have a significant impact on promoting sustainability and creating a brighter, more eco-conscious future for our children. Our school has already taken fantastic strides in encouraging cleaner travelling habits, and now we are eager to extend our efforts to new horizons, all guided by our powerful motto – ‘Recycle, Reduce and Re-love’. What being a Parent Eco Ambassador entails:
- Collaborating with our dedicated Eco Council representatives.
- Meeting once every half term to brainstorm strategies and offer support for eco-friendly projects in various departments.
Your support can help us explore and make a difference in areas like energy efficiency, green spaces, waste reduction, and so much more. Let’s come together and create a school community that prioritises sustainability, setting a lasting example for generations to come. If you can contribute in any way, please feel free to email me directly at nahmed@htprimary.com or drop by for a chat in person in Heron Class (Y3).
Scholastic Book Fair
The scholastic book fair will take place in the KS1 playground 7th – 11th November at 3.15pm. More details will follow.
Book amnesty
We are setting up an International book section in our library to support all our multilingual children with reading. If you have any books in other languages (or another language and English) that may be looking for a new home we would love to take them off your hands and share them with our pupils at school. Just send them in with your child to their class and I will collect any from there. Thank you so much, Miss Ashby
