Year 3 visit Hindu Temple
Year 3 went on an exciting trip linked to our R.E. unit. We have been studying Hinduism and the children were able to
visit a Hindu Temple in Wimbledon. They were able to spot the deities that we studied in our lessons and ask plenty of
questions linked to our learning. We were extremely proud of the children especially those that showed off their
amazing learning in school by recounting stories from the Hindu faith and sharing their knowledge. They earnt some
wellbeing time in the park after too! Well done Year 3!
Mental Health and Wellbeing
Next week is Children's Mental Health week. The theme this year is 'Your voice Matters'. In the Well-being assembly
today, Mrs Whiteside spoke to the children about looking after their mental health, by taking notice of the voice inside
and and the voices of others around you. When we feel that we are being listened to, being heard and being treated
with respect, we feel our voice is being heard and this is good for our well-being. The children watched an interview
with Alex Scott about how she used and her expressed her voice. If you would like to listen to BAFTA's and Place2Be's
other interviews on the same theme please follow the link below.
