Dear Parents and Carers ,
This week our Year 6 children treated the school and their families to an incredible performance of ‘What’s the Crime Mr Wolf?’ Their parts were performed with energy, enthusiasm, humour and were so very well acted. They made us laugh and cry and left us feeling overwhelmingly proud of them and their efforts and achievements. What an amazing production, thank you so very much Lions and Leopards!
Trips, visits and events |
Forest School for the Lions and Leopards
Year 6 had a lovely time at Forest School on Monday. They got stuck in with all the activities on offer: making smores around the fire, whipping up mud pies in the mud kitchen, exploring the pond area and playing tug of war with the ropes! What an exciting way to take their learning outside and enjoy spending time together before they go off to secondary school.
Our Kingfishers had a fabulous trip to Bocketts Farm
Last Friday, our reception children headed off to Bocketts Farm. They loved seeing and feeding the animals in the barn; the tractor ride was a big hit and they were amazed at the speed of the pigs in their pig race! The children behaved beautifully and reflected all of our values – what a fabulous day!
Swans and Herons trip to Kew
With a fabulous workshop on pollination to launch the day, some time exploring the amazing plants in Kew Gardens and a great PSHE afternoon in the Children’s Garden, Year 3 had a fun-filled day out at Kew Gardens on Wednesday. Trips aren’t possible without the support of our fabulous community so a huge thank you to all the volunteers too.
Year 5 Food Tech
Year 5 have been busy making apple crumble in their D&T food tech lesson this week. Their recipes were aspirational, they worked really well together and they loved enjoying their finished pudding!
Message from Mrs Evans |
We have had another busy but wonderful week at Holy Trinity. The Year 6 classes did a fantastic job on Wednesday night with their production. It was lovely to see how confident they all were on stage – we are so proud of them! The KS2 SATs results also came back this week and we are incredibly pleased with how the children did. A huge thank you to all of our staff who have supported the children throughout this year and previous years.
Yesterday we had our transition sessions where the children spent the afternoon with their new class teachers. I made my way round each of the classes and it was brilliant to see them all settling with their new teachers already. During this session we also welcomed our new Reception pupils and their families for a stay and play session and it was lovely to see them all getting to know one another.
We finished our week with a worship that focused on reflecting on our year. We began with Colossians 3v23, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” We considered this message and thought about the importance of reflecting on what we are doing well and what we could do better. We then considered the following questions to reflect on our year:
- What did I learn about myself this year?
- What challenged me this year?
- What am I proud of this year?
Finally, we thought about what we would like to focus on next year and thought about what our own personal targets will be.
It’s hard to believe that we are almost at the end of the summer term! Have a wonderful weekend – I look forward to seeing you back at school next week.

If there are any parents with children in Reception to Year 5 who are leaving the school at the end of term, please confirm this with Mrs Prendergast (lprendergast@htprimary.com) in the office as soon as possible alongside the name of the school your child will be joining and your new address if applicable. Richmond Admissions are asking for our projected numbers in each year group so that they are in a position to start making offers to other children. Thank you.
