Newsletter 17th January

Friday 17th January 2025

Dear Parents and Carers ,

Another wonderful week at Holy Trinity has passed. I find it hard to believe I have now been with you for a whole
fortnight. Our Collective Worship this week started on Monday with Eils Osgood looking at ‘If You’re Happy’, preparing
us for further worship coming up this term regarding Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Today we learned a new song (one
that I knew from many years ago) to help us celebrate our happiness and love for God. I’m pleased to say that I was
able to use my guitar again, which certainly makes me very happy!
As the weather now seems to have warmed up, please do have a lovely weekend and enjoy the beautiful surroundings
that Richmond provides – I will be visiting Whipsnade Zoo with my family to see which new animals have been born,
which always makes us extremely happy.
Mr George
Trips, visits and events
Dragonflies enjoy their Forest School day

Dragonflies had a fantastic time at Forest School on Monday. Building on their learning about communication, they
tried making their own string telephones and used them to talk to one another through the trees and shrubs. They
also planted numerous bulbs around the dead leaves. Hopefully, we will see some flowers bloom later in spring. Many
of the children came up with their own creative ideas, such as designing obstacle courses, experimenting in the mud
kitchen, and building various creations. They all had an amazing morning!

Notices and requests

New Parent Governor Thank you so much to all those who engaged with the Parent Governor election. I am pleased
to be able to announce that Gemma Townsend, who has a child in year 4 and year 2, is our new parent governor. We
look forward to welcoming Gemma to our next Full Governing Body meeting later this month. Thank you to both
Gemma and Drew Powell for putting themselves forward for this important role in the running of the school.

Nursery applications
Applications for nursery enrolment in September 2025 close on March 1st. If your child was born between
