Newsletter 26th September 2025
Friday 26th September 2025
Dear Parents and Carers,
What a busy week we have had! Monday started with Eils leading us in Collective Worship, focusing on joy. It was fascinating to see the children exploring this emotion and coming up with what they found joyful.
It has been lovely to see the children settling into their new classes and enjoying their learning, particularly our Reception and Nursery children who are settling in well.
Do have a super weekend – I will be working on my guitar playing so that I can come up with a few more pre-90s songs for our assemblies!
Best wishes,
Mr George

Foxes explore in Forest school
This Monday, Year 5 had a fantastic day in the wildlife area for their Forest School session. Linking with their science topic on forces, the children experimented with pulleys and rope systems, testing out different ways to lift and move objects. They also enjoyed pond dipping and were excited to discover several nymphs and newts in the water. The day was rounded off with plenty of outdoor fun, including time in the mud kitchen, building bug hotels, and playing a lively game of Eagle Eye. A great day of learning and adventure in nature!

Helpful hints and tips to help to keep your children safe online. Be curious about what your children are doing online, take an interest in their activities and regularly check what they are doing.
- Check that your internet service provider provides parental controls so you can add a layer of security for your children and filter out inappropriate content. The website links below also contain advice about this. If your child has a mobile phone, check the settings on this too – at Holy Trinity, we are supporters of the Smartphone Free Childhood campaign.
- Talk to your child about online safety and take an interest in their activity. Especially encourage them to talk to you about anything which is worrying them online
- Keep online passwords safe and secure, and change them often. Don’t let any of your networks be open or discoverable
- Agree ground rules for safe use of the internet at home. For example, limit the amount of time children can spend online in any one go and restrict access at bedtime
- Be App aware. Many devices require downloading an app. You should check the privacy settings and permissions of any apps you download, as well as the product itself.
- Be device aware. Make sure your security settings include all internet-enabled devices, including smart TV’s and game consoles
