Friday 21st November 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

We welcomed Matt to our Collective Worship this week, and he shared what the bible tells us about self-control.  The Bible, in 1 Corinthians, compares life to a race: “Don’t you realise that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win!” To win, athletes must be super disciplined, and Matt shared his experience of running the London Marathon and the self-control needed to train for it. Athletes use self-control every single day to make themselves practice even when they are tired; they choose healthy foods instead of sugary treats and go to bed on time. They control their bodies and minds so they can win their prize (a medal). And we also need self-control! We practice it so we can win an amazing, eternal prize that lasts forever.

Our self-control can be to listen when grown-ups are talking; to share your toys, even if you want them all, and to make sure you finish your work in school and at home. When we use self-control, we are running our life’s race “with purpose in every step.” Let’s all practice self-control today so we can be winners!

Have a wonderful weekend.

Best wishes,

Mr George

Trips, visits and events

International food stall at the Christmas Fair

The annual Christmas Fair is fast approaching on 29th November, and we’re excited to once again celebrate the rich diversity of our school community!  In recent years, the Holy Trinity International Friends stall has been a real highlight, showcasing delicious dishes from around the world and we’d love to make this year our best yet.

We warmly invite you to contribute to our stall with a sweet or savoury dish that represents your culture, your family traditions, or simply something you love to make. Your generosity helps us create a vibrant, welcoming space that brings our whole community together.

If you’re able to bring a dish on the day, that would be fantastic – every contribution, big or small, makes a difference. Please add a  label  of the ingredients for allergy purposes.

Thank you so much for your support!

Prayer Breakfast

We would like to invite you to a prayer breakfast on 4th December at 8am in Woodpecker Class, to pray for our school. We will provide coffee and pastries!

Everyone who is part of our HT community is very welcome.

London to Paris cycle – calling any volunteers to join our wonderful team!

We’re excited to announce that, as a PTA fundraiser, we’ll be cycling to Paris on Friday 26th June! This event is being held in collaboration with Skylarks Charity, with funds raised going to both Skylarks and Holy Trinity School.

We’ll be holding an information evening on Monday 1st December at 5.30 pm in the school hall for anyone interested in taking part or finding out more — we’d love to see you there!

If you can’t make it, please speak to me or send an email for further information

Notices and requests

Parent consultations – Tuesday November 25th

Please use the front, Carrington Road gate to come in and out of school and not the back gate as this will cause lots of disruption for our Kingfisher club.

Christmas Fair: Lucky Dip Stall

The Junior Leadership Team will be running the lucky dip stall at the Christmas Fair once again this year to help raise funds for our school. They are looking for donations of any small toys that are in a good condition. Please leave them at the school office or take them directly to Mr Auton in Roe Class. We will be very grateful for any donations received. Thank you in advance from Mr Auton and the Junior Leadership Team.

Holy Trinity does Movember!

Week 3 – update…

This November some staff and Governors are joining in with Movember and would love parents and carers to join them.

This annual event raises money and awareness for men’s health charities while being a bit of fun. The rules are simple – be clean shaven on 1st November and then grow away! All styles of Mos welcome! If you are keen to join the fun drop an email to fneal@htprimary.com.

We’ll keep you updated during November – look out for updates on the school social media accounts. We are going to get everyone participating together towards the end of November to compare moustaches – there might even be a prize for the best Mo….!

There is a QR code below that links to the HT Team page for donations or visit – https://uk.movember.com/mospace/15380367?utm_medium=share&utm_source=dynamic&utm_campaign=qr-code
