Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to a very chilly and seasonal start to the new year! I hope that everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable time away during the Christmas break.
We are now in the season of Epiphany. As we return to school this week, we carry with us the light of Epiphany, celebrating the journey of the Magi to the infant Jesus. This season reminds us that the greatest gifts aren’t always found in boxes, but in the wisdom, courage, and persistence we show when seeking something meaningful. Our school values of Love, Community and Aspiration help us to pursue this.
At Holy Trinity, we encourage every child to follow their own “star”—striving for excellence and showing kindness to all they meet along the way. Just as the Wise Men travelled from afar to offer their best, may we all look for ways to offer our unique talents to help others shine. As we reflect on their journey, we remember the words of Matthew 2:10: “When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.” I hope that same joy and curiosity guide our children through the new term ahead.
Have a lovely weekend.
Best wishes,
Mr George

Year 4 Brass Opportunities

Year 4 had a fabulous 1st brass lesson this week delivered by Richmond Music Trust as part of their Wider Opportunities programme. The teachers commented on how well the children did and how much they achieved in just one lesson! We are very excited to see how much progress they will make over the next 8 weeks.
They will be giving a concert to their parents and carers on 12th March!

Share and Care Collective
All around the country there are people who sometimes need a little bit of extra help buying food
and toiletries for their family. Share & Care Collective is a small local charity that helps families
around East Sheen, Barnes and Mortlake with weekly supplies of food and toiletries during term
time. They collect donations from across the community and work in partnership with 7 local primary schools to distribute our support bags so you can be assured that your donations will be directly supporting your neighbours in the community.
We have agreed to host a collection box for this charity. If you would like to donate, the items that we love to receive are:
Pasta Sauce (jar) Tuna (tinned) Fruit (tinned)
Vegetables (tinned) Baked Beans Pasta Rice Cereal Biscuits
Jam Shower Gel Sanitary Towels
Mrs Prendergast and Mrs Bell will be keeping the box in the office every week so please do drop any donations in.

Pupil Premium
Could you be eligible for additional school funding? We are encouraging all families to check if they qualify for Pupil Premium, which provides extra resources and support for your child’s learning. Your child may be eligible if you receive certain benefits including an annual gross income of no more than £16,190, Universal Credit, Income Support, or if your child is from a service family. Even if your child already receives Universal Free School Meals in KS1, registering for Pupil Premium ensures the school receives vital extra funding to enhance their education. If you believe you may be entitled, please contact the School Office in total confidence so we can help you with the next steps.
| Safeguarding |
Mr George, Miss Brunt & Mrs Allard can be contacted at the school using their emails (which are on the school website), or you can use our new safeguarding email which is: safeguarding@htprimary.com . We welcome Mrs Bell to our Safeguarding Team, who can also be contacted using her own email or the Safeguarding link above.
