Dear Parents and Carers,

Sue joined us this week from Holy Trinity to talk about our school vision of Love leaning, love one another  and love God. She helped develop Eil’s work from last week, looking at Jesus’ words in John 10:10: “I  have come in order that you might have life – life in all its fullness.” It was good fun for the children when  I took this thought and looked at the shared love of family – please ask the children about the black and  white photo which adorned a local photographer’s for many years! Have a wonderful weekend together  with your family, sharing your time together.

Best wishes,

Mr George

Trips, visits and events

KS2 Rail Safety Visitor

Last Friday, our Key Stage 2 students participated in an engaging rail safety

assembly delivered by Rail Safe Wessex – a joint initiative between Network Rail and

South Western Railway. Given our school’s proximity to North Sheen station and the

fact that many of our families cross the tracks daily, this interactive session provided

vital reminders on how to stay safe. To mark the occasion, Holy Trinity was honoured

with a special plaque recognising our commitment to railway safety. Furthermore, we

are delighted to announce that our school’s name will soon be proudly displayed at

North Sheen Station in recognition of this partnership.

Year 2 Forest School

Year 2 have loved their Forest School session this week. They enjoyed shaping clay to make bowls and  decorating them with different leaves. They also enjoyed exploring rope play by creating swings and  bridges, and working together to build pretend structures, including towers, using sticks and logs.  Even with the damp weather, they enjoyed getting in the mud and making the most out of the day.

Year 1&2 Footy Phonics

We are excited to share that a group of students from Year 1 and Year 2 are currently

participating in Footy Phonics led by Brentford Football Club. This fantastic programme

uses football drills and active play to reinforce essential literacy and decoding skills. By

combining the pitch with the classroom, our pupils are building both their reading confidence  and their physical fitness. We look forward to seeing their progress over the coming weeks!

Notices and Requests

Share and Care Collective

All around the country, there are people who sometimes need a little bit of extra help

buying food and toiletries for their family. Share & Care Collective is a small local charity that helps  local families with weekly supplies of food and toiletries during term time. They collect donations  from across the community and work in partnership with local primary schools to distribute our

support bags. We have agreed to host a collection box for this charity. If you would like to donate, please take your  items to Mrs Prendergast and Mrs Bell in the office. Thank you to those who are already donating.

Prayer Breakfast

On 4th February, there will be a prayer breakfast in Woodpecker Class between 8:00-8:30am. Coffee and pastries will  be provided as usual. It’s aimed at the grown-up members of our community – parents, staff and governors all  welcome!
