Dear Parents and Carers 22/12/2023
As this very long term comes to a close, I would like to say thank you for all of the help, support and generosity that
you have shown to the school. Our values of love and community have been evident as we have shared special times
together at the Christmas Fair and the range of performances and services that have taken place. In addition to your
kindness and thoughtfulness shown through the Reverse Advent Calendar gifts, £304 was donated on Christmas
Jumper Day for Save the Children and £471 for The Childrens’ Society through retiring collections and Christingle day
donations. Thank you too to our wonderful PTA and for all they have done to raise money for the school – see below.
I hope and pray that you and your families have a very special time together over the Christmas holidays and we look
forward to welcoming the children back in the New Year on Tuesday 9th January 2024! Alison Bateman
PTA – Autumn Term Report
The PTA is delighted to confirm that the Christmas Fair, Silent Auction and Christmas Tree Sale have raised £14,500 for
the school this term! That means we are at 40% of our committed funding target to the school for the year and beats
our target for the term by £3,000.
None of this would have been possible without your contribution, a big thanks to the fair committee, all the class reps,
teachers, Mr Bell and everyone who contributed to make these events a great reflection of the Holy Trinity community
and a huge success. This term the PTA also granted funds, raised in 2022-2023, of £17,000 to Holy Trinity School.
These funds have been used by the school to support the forest school, the purchase of iPads for classrooms, new
library books for KS1 and KS2 and Infant reading materials. There is additional funding remaining for replacing the
school minibus in the new year.
We have lots of exciting events planned for the spring term so look out for updates in the New Year, we will be holding
a meeting in January to give a full update on the events and activities.
To whet the appetite, you will shortly see an RSVP for those parents or carers that are interested in challenging
themselves and taking part in a London to Paris bike ride over 2 days in June 2024! It's an incredible achievement to
finish at the Eiffel Tower, full details to be announced soon with an overview for those interested in January. It would
be great to get as many people involved as possible! Merry Christmas to all parents and carers, enjoy the break!

our reception children played all the other parts brilliantly.
HT Friends Christmas photo project
For many of us, Christmas/New Year is a time of celebration, however we recognise that we all do this in many
different ways. We would love to celebrate our wonderful and diverse community through sharing a snapshot of what
we all do over the holiday. Please send in a photo of your child from over the festive period that represents one of the
ways that you celebrate. You can email it to your class teacher at the start of next term. Thank you – we can’t wait to
see them! Have a wonderful festive period! Miss Ashby.
Candlelit Carol Service
On Monday evening, Key Stage 2 gathered in church for our Candlelit Carol Service. Thank you to Mrs Barclay for
putting the service together to tell the Christmas story through songs and readings. The children sang, read and played
their instruments so beautifully. Thank you too to Dan Wells and Eils Osgood for welcoming us all to the church and
making it such a special occasion.
Christingle
Thank you to Dan Wells and Matt Osgood for coming in to school to lead and play the keyboard for our two Christingle
Services on Tuesday afternoon. I hope the Christingles made it home intact!

Miss Latin’s orchestra performed beautifully in Tuesday’s singing assembly. There are 6 more free places available
