Dear Parents and Carers

Parent Consultation Meetings will take place in the school hall on Wednesday 7th February 2pm-7pm (break 4.30 –
5pm). For those of you who have not yet booked, please do so via ParentMail. If you are going to find meeting at this
time a struggle, do speak to the teacher and they will try to accommodate you at another time or online.
Lunar New Year
On Friday 9th February, we will be celebrating Lunar New Year (that takes place on Saturday 10th February). Children
can wear something red for the day. The catering staff will serve lunches linked to the celebration and the hall will be
decorated for the occasion too.
Year 3 visit Hindu Temple

Year 3 went on an exciting trip linked to our R.E. unit. We have been studying Hinduism and the children were able to
visit a Hindu Temple in Wimbledon. They were able to spot the deities that we studied in our lessons and ask plenty of
questions linked to our learning. We were extremely proud of the children especially those that showed off their
amazing learning in school by recounting stories from the Hindu faith and sharing their knowledge. They earnt some
wellbeing time in the park after too! Well done Year 3!
Mental Health and Wellbeing

Next week is Children's Mental Health week. The theme this year is 'Your voice Matters'. In the Well-being assembly
today, Mrs Whiteside spoke to the children about looking after their mental health, by taking notice of the voice inside

and and the voices of others around you. When we feel that we are being listened to, being heard and being treated
with respect, we feel our voice is being heard and this is good for our well-being. The children watched an interview
with Alex Scott about how she used and her expressed her voice. If you would like to listen to BAFTA's and Place2Be's
other interviews on the same theme please follow the link below.

Panathlon

On Tuesday 8 students from year 3 – 5 represented the school at the Panathlon sports event. The children worked as a
team to complete a number of sporting challenges. It was a fantastic event and the team all had great fun taking part.
All the children involved received a medal which they were all very impressed with. Mr Callaghan
