Friday 8th November 2024
Dear Parents and Carers ,
It was lovely to welcome all the children back into school this week – I hope you all had a wonderful half term! Our Year 6 children have been very busy completing their bikeability training this week, learning about road safety as cyclists. The children have said that they have learnt lots of new information and feel much more confident out on the road. Well done and cycle safely Year 6!

Message from Mrs Evans |
It has been wonderful to welcome back all of our families this week; the children have come back focused and ready to learn. We have been continuing to show around prospective parents/carers for Reception September 2025 and have had a huge amount of interest in our tours – thank you to all of our families who have been talking about us so positively in the local community and encouraging people to visit. I am excited to be holding my first ‘working lunch’ with members of the JLT early next week – who will be planning and leading Friday worship with me – and I look forward to sharing more about our first worship with you next week.

Road Safety Week 18-22nd November
We’re taking part in Road Safety Week to learn about road safety and celebrate the road safety heroes who make roads safer. Everyone can be a road safety hero! There are plenty of ways you and your children can get involved. There will be an assembly, led by our ECO team and children will have access to supporting materials at school. If you are, or have been in a road safety role and would like to get involved, please let us know! Posters are going up around school and your child might like to send a postcard to their road safety here on the attached template.

HT Friends – Celebrating our Diversity
We are going to have a banner made for our HT Friends group and have asked the children if they would like to take part in helping to design it. We have talked about the shape of a banner and that it needs to have HT Friends – Celebrating our DIversity on it. We have given the children lots of ideas and encouraged them to make it personal to HT. The designs need to be handed in to their class teachers or the office by Monday 11th November.

Community events and initiatives |
I am messaging on behalf of your local Chestertons branch, here in East Sheen. We are helping the charity Calling London with their winter coat drive and would appreciate your support.
Every year, Calling London collects winter coats and jackets and then distributes them to over 30 charitable organisations – helping the homeless, victims of domestic abuse, those living in poverty, the elderly, refugees and children. We’ve been collecting coats on behalf of Calling London since 2013 and now more than ever they need our help.
Between 21st October – 23rd November all of the Chestertons London branches become donation points for the public to drop off their unwanted coats and jackets. We need winter coats and jackets in both adults and children’s sizes, every single donation makes a real difference to someone’s life.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Best wishes, Miss Ashby. Instagram: @HolyTrinityschrichmond
