Newsletter 10th January 2025

Friday 10th January 2025

Dear Parents and Carers                ,

A very big thank you to everyone in the Holy Trinity family who has made me so welcome in my first week with you. The Christmas and New Year celebrations seem a long way away now, and the weather has been seasonably chilly to say the least! Children and staff have been very much living our values of Aspiration, Love and Community, and in our assembly on Tuesday we celebrated these, together with a reminder of our school rules, which help us to stay safe and be there for each other. In our prayer we asked God to help us to work hard and love our learning, even when we find things difficult we will aspire to try our hardest; to help us to love one another, even when we find our patience is tested, and to help us love Him –  when we need His support, when we are happy, and when we are sad. I look forward to a happy and successful time at Holy Trinity with you; please stay safe and look after one another.

Mr George

Trips, visits and events

Year 5 investigated materials that conducted heat

Badgers and Foxes were busy this week exploring which materials were best for insulating hot water. THey experimented with different materials including paper, tin foil, bin bags and fabric and measured the temperatures accordingly.

Calling all Runners!

If your child currently runs any of the  park runs  at the weekends please could you send their times and the events they participated in  to Mr Callaghan (lcallaghan@htprimary.com), we would like to celebrate any personal best times and milestones reached! We would also like to encourage more children to start running and feel that the park Run 2K event will be a good way to help our children develop their running skills and build our community spirit. Over the next few weeks we will be looking at how we can continue to build on our great relationship with Real Runners.

If you would like to sign up for the park runs, please do consider signing up as an HT Run Club member!
