Newsletter 7th November 2025

Friday 7th November 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week Eils joined us for collective worship on the theme of Faithfulness. Faithfulness means being a loyal and committed friend—someone who sticks with you, even when things are tough. Our special Bible verse comes from Ruth, who promised her mother-in-law, Naomi: “Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay.” Ruth was saying, “I’m not leaving you, no matter what happens.” That’s real faithfulness!

What does being faithful look like?

At school: It means trying your hardest in your work and standing up for your friends.

At home: It means keeping your promises (like tidying up your toys!).

In the Christian faith, it means remembering God’s love and trying to follow Jesus every day. When we are faithful, we show people they can trust us. Let’s all try to be faithful this week and make our friendships stronger!

What’s one promise you can keep today to show faithfulness? How can you show faithfulness over the weekend? Best wishes,

Mr George

Trips, visits and events

Herons get busy making stone age tools at Forest School

On Monday, Herons had a fantastic morning at Forest School! The morning was full of fun, from the delicious creations emerging from the mud kitchen, to the impressively built dens and shelters. The children worked well as a team, and constructed their own zip line, making sure they landed in a giant pile of crunchy leaves. To link with our Stone Age topic in history, the children were also given access to sticks, stones, twine and leaves to make their own Stone Age tools. We were very impressed with some of the things made and how well they worked! As always, the children loved their morning in their outside classroom.

Bike Dr Clinic 18/11/25 9-12pm

We are very grateful to the Bike Dr who will be in school on Tuesday 18 November, 09:00 – 12:00 to run free checks for your children’s bikes. They will be set up under a gazebo at the front entrance of the school where you can drop off your children’s bikes and collect them from the bike racks at the end of the day. The session will be run by two cycling instructors, who also have experience in bike mechanics, and they will check over everything for free including wheels, brakes, gears, tyre pressure, chain, pedals, saddles and more. They can make any minor adjustments; however, they do not carry any spare parts so anything that needs repairing but that they can’t fix on-site they will inform you about so that you can take the bike to a bike shop for repair.

Please be aware that:

  • In cases where it’s not possible to get the bike to a safe standard, you will be advised about the faults. ● LBRuT does not take responsibility for problems arising from faults that damaged your bike before this check, for injury, loss or damage to property that is not caused by an instructor’s negligence.
