Dear Parents and Carers,
It’s been a very busy week at Holy Trinity. On Monday, Matt joined us for collective worship to explore what we might believe in, as part of our Spiritual Flourishing series of assemblies, as well as a new song, Pilgrim Way. We have seen Year 5 off to High Ashurst, and look forward to hearing tales of daring do on the ropes courses. Year 6 spent a morning at Holly Lodge looking at citizenship activities and, we had a wonderful concert from Rockbandz. All of this alongside our usual clubs, activities, and, of course, lots of wonderful learning. “We are the Pilgrims, master; we shall go always a little further; it may be beyond that last blue mountain barred with snow, across that angry or that glimmering sea…”
Do have a wonderful weekend – I intend to have a bit of a rest before we enjoy our final week of this term – January now seems a very long way away from our cold, dark starts!
Best wishes,
Mr George

Some tiny visitors
This week, we introduced our ducklings to water. The children loved watching them swim, dive and splash. They learnt that the fluffy baby feathers are not waterproof, so each duckling had to be carefully dried after its swim. We said goodbye to the ducklings on Thursday when they returned to the farm.

Reception Forest SchoolMrs Walder’s class had an adventure at Forest School on Monday. The children climbed ropes, made structures from natural materials, played hide and seek and tug of war, and enjoyed being in nature.
Year 4 trip to the Albert Hall

Year 4 enjoyed performing this week as part of a Mega Choir at the Prom Praise 4
Schools concert at the iconic Royal Albert Hall. To the theme ‘What were we made
for?’, the concert took us on a time-travelling journey from Genesis in the Old
Testament to the final chapters of Revelation in the New Testament. We
thoroughly enjoyed listening to the All Souls Orchestra and watching the amazing
actors and dancers. We’re sure it will be something the children will never forget.
Comic Relief Pyjama Day

It is not often that a headteacher leads a school collective worship in their
pyjamas and even less likely that a school hall of students sing along to him
playing the guitar in their pyjamas too. What a happy way to start a Friday.
Comic Relief raises money to tackle poverty and injustice, supporting
vulnerable people and communities both in the UK and around the world. At
Holy Trinity, we know how important community is and its value so this felt like
an important occasion to acknowledge.

School Uniform Reminder
Please see a link to our school uniform policy (https://holytrinityschool.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/School uniform-policy-updated-Jan-25.pdf). We have noticed quite a few students have made a few adaptations to the uniform and would like your support, as parent, helping your children to comply with it. The parents of any pupil who does not comply will receive a phone call or e-mail advising them of this.
Kingfisher Fund
This academic year, classes have accepted individual donations of glue sticks, whiteboard pens and other resources which is greatly appreciated. As well as this, our Kingfisher fund has meant the learning here at HT is really quite special. This year alone, your donations have given each child the opportunity to take part in an exciting curriculum. Here are just a few of the lovely opportunities you have provided since this term alone:
– Fabric pens, Colour in flying kites, Origami paper puzzle books, LED lights for science experiment, crochet and knitting yarn, books for Year 1 and 2, dot markers for calligraphy, outdoor cushions and picnic mat, lots of food for D.T. food tech including noodles, peppers, fruit and fruit knives and sushi making materials, eco bird food, fat balls and litter pickers, Art roc, acrylic paint and much more…
A huge THANK YOU from all of us at HT.

Share and Care Collective
All around the country, there are people who sometimes need a little bit of extra help
buying food and toiletries for their family. Share & Care Collective is a small local charity that helps local families with weekly supplies of food and toiletries during term time. They collect donations from across the community and work in partnership with local primary schools to distribute our
support bags. We have agreed to host a collection box for this charity. If you would like to donate, please take your items to Mrs Prendergast and Mrs Bell in the office. Thank you to those who are already donating.
| Safeguarding |
Mr George, Miss Brunt, Mrs Allard and Mrs Bell can be contacted at the school using their emails (which are on the school website), or you can use our new safeguarding email, which is: safeguarding@htprimary.com .
