Geography fieldwork

Intent

At Holy Trinity School, our geography curriculum has been carefully planned and tailored in a way that encourages all children to develop their understanding of locational and place knowledge, human and physical geography and fieldwork. Our intent is to inspire the next generation to have a curiosity and passion for the world around them. In itself, geography plays a vital part of our curriculum and helps pupils to understand the complexity of our planet and appreciate the diversity of cultures that exists across continents.

As a multicultural school, we believe it is important to make children more aware of the different cultures of those around them. Geography also teaches our pupils how they are global citizens and provides them with the tools to be proactive when dealing with the human impacts on our planet such as climate change. The children will also learn to show compassion and love towards all cultures of the world. This links in with our core Christian values of love, aspiration and community
