Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition
We are very proud and pleased to announce that Theo Wong has been chosen as one of the winners and his card will
be made into one of the Mayor's official Christmas cards. He has been invited, with two guests, to have tea with the
Mayor in December.
HT Friends
International Food Stall: Our HT Friends are kindly bringing different plates of international food linked to their
children's' culture to sell at the Christmas Fair on Friday. If you would like to join us we would love you to! Please bring
in your plate of nibbles with a clear label of what it is, which country it is from and the ingredients for those with
allergies. We are hoping to share some traditional food from Mexico, Croatia, Austria, Japan and China amongst other
countries. It is such a great way to share and celebrate our wonderfully rich and diverse community. Thank you so
much to all who are involved and happy tasting!
We have set up a Parent Partnership for those families that are new to the school and speak different languages.
Please let the office know if you would like us to put you in touch with a native speaker; we really hope that this will
help to support all our new and multilingual families.
Our next HT Friends coffee morning will be in January – please look out for the date in the newsletter if you would like
to join us. Best wishes, Lucy Ashby
The Big Ambition Survey
The Children’s Commissioner for England, Dame Rachel de Souza, has launched The Big Ambition, a national survey of
children and young people across England. It aims to hear from children across England on what they think is
important!
In the lead up to the next General Election, the Children’s Commissioner wants to take children’s thoughts, opinions
and ideas to decision-makers, to make sure that the Government hears young people’s voices on what they think
needs to be done to make children’s lives better in England. The Big Ambition survey will be open until Friday 15th
December. Please take time to support your child to complete this.

Key Stage 2 Christmas Carol Service
This lovely carol service will take place at Holy Trinity Church at 6pm on Monday 18th December. The children will be
performing Christmas Carols that they have been learning for this occasion. All junior (years 3-6) children are expected
to attend and must wear their school uniform – they should arrive from 5.30pm for a prompt start. We anticipate the
service lasting approximately 1 hour. We are looking forward to a lovely evening. Junior parents are all welcome (no
tickets required).
'Cut Your Carbon' Challenge.
Ms Ahmed and the Eco team want to remind you that this challenge is taking place throughout November 2023. The
campaign challenges young people and their families to complete simple actions that will reduce their carbon
footprint. Cut Your Carbon is a great way to learn more about the carbon emissions connected to everyday life and
how we can reduce them by making small manageable changes. Please encourage and support your children to
become responsible and informed citizens.
