Friday 28th June 2024
Dear Parents and Carers ,
We had a very exciting morning waving off Team HT’s cyclists who are taking on the London to Paris challenge today! We wish them lots of luck and thank them from the bottom of our hearts for all the money that they have raised for our wonderful school. Thank you to everyone who has donated, if you would still like to, there is still time!

Trips, visits and events |
Year 3 enjoyed the sunshine at Forest School
Year 3 spent Monday morning taking part in Forest School. We realised how much rubbish pollution is a problem on our planet and even within our school grounds. Following a litter-pick, there was time to practise skills such as communication, kindness and teamwork. It was great fun!
Visit to our local Synagogue
Year 3 had the pleasure of two trips in one week! After the exciting trip to Barnes festival, we continued our learning about the Jewish faith. In R.E., we have been learning all about some of the stories, festivals and traditions and the Richmond Synagogue brought our learning to life. We were extremely proud of the children who not only listened and learnt beautifully but also showed off their own learning from the classroom.
HT’s orchestra played at The Exchange
Our orchestra took part in the Richmond Music Trust ensemble day on Tuesday at The Exchange in Twickenham. They rehearsed hard all morning and performed their pieces with Marshgate to the other schools. The afternoon culminated in a final whole group ensemble performance of Star Wars, Bad Guy and a grand finale of Mama Mia. They were wonderful and played exceptionally well, well done HT!
Message from Mrs Evans |
We have had an incredibly busy week at Holy Trinity. This morning it was lovely to have our community together to celebrate the Bike Ride to Paris. The winners of the jersey design competition were announced: Emilia in Year 1 and Sumi in Year 6, and were presented with their own replica jerseys showing their designs. We were able to cheer the group off on their adventure and finished with a prayer together: “Loving God, Thank you for his group of people who have taken on this challenge to raise money for our school. Shine your light on them and surround them with your love on their journey. Amen.” We are looking forward to hearing updates about their journey and to hearing of their safe arrival in Paris.
Plans for Next Year
We are beginning to look towards September and are finalising plans for new classes and their teachers. This year, the children will have a ‘Move Up Afternoon’ on Thursday 11th July. During this afternoon, they will spend time with their new teacher and for those classes being mixed up they will spend time in their new groups. I will be putting together a letter to share information about the teachers that will be leading each class and this will come to you during that day. For those year groups that are being mixed, your child will be able to share with you who their teacher is and confirmation of their class will come home the following day with their end of year reports.
Congratulations to Miss Brunt
We wanted to share with the community that Miss Brunt has been appointed as Assistant Headteacher to begin in September. She will still be based in class for part of the week and will be taking on a leadership responsibility alongside this. I know that you will join me in wishing her well with this exciting new role.
Have a wonderful weekend in the warm weather and see you back at school next week.
Notices and requests |
Refill Rescue Team
The Rescue Refill team is opening the shop today (Friday, 28th June from 3.15 – 3.45pm), outside Heron Class. Please come along with your bottles to be refilled, and cash to pay for the products. To date, Holy Trinity community has helped save around 200 plastic bottles from going into landfill or being dumped into the oceans. We are playing our part!
For the remainder of the term, the Eco Refill Team are happy to refill bottles EVERY Friday. All you have to do is to bring in your bottles by Friday morning, with the order and leave it in the labelled box by the main reception. It will be ready for you to collect by the end of the day, from Heron Class, with your payment.
Thank you for your continued support,
Refill Rescue Team
Tree at the end of Carrington Road
Following a query from a concerned parent about the difficulty navigating a tree at the far end of Carrington Road, we reported this to the council. We are pleased to share that a positive response has been received and an assurance that Council action will be taken in the next 4 weeks to remedy this.
Water beads – safety warning
It has been brought to our attention that the water beads, often used in vases or as sensory toys carry a health risk if swallowed or put into ears. For more information please follow the link:
