Newsletter 4th October 2024

Friday 4th October 2024

Dear Parents and Carers                ,

Our Year 3 children led us in a wonderful assembly today, teaching us all about the importance of Harvest. We enjoyed their wonderful singing and huge enthusiasm – what stars you all are, congratulations and thank you!

Thank you also for all the donations for the Foodbank that we have received, your love for the community is humbling and will be so gratefully received.

Trips, visits and events

First place for HT!

A few children from Year 5 took part in a local maths competition at Hampton School on Tuesday. They had to use their mental maths skills and recall to answer some very challenging quick fire questions against lots of other teams. HT came first, winning the whole competition!  Huge congratulations to  Anna, Ellie, Atticus and Sammy, you were outstanding and superb ambassadors for HT. We are so proud of you!

Badgers enjoy Forest School

Badger Class had a great time at forest school on Monday; building shelters, making clay imprints of leaves, using the ropes and playing with the mud kitchen. Despite the weather, a great time was had by all!

Harvest Festival

Year 3 led the Harvest Festival Assembly with such confidence and enthusiasm. It was wonderful to hear them talking about the different parts of the world that provide different types of food for us and encouraged us all to be thankful for all that we have.

Message from Mrs Evans

It has been another busy but positive week here at Holy Trinity. I was so pleased to be able to be part of the Harvest Festival Assembly led by Year 3 and it was wonderful to see so many parents/carers and family members here to support the children – thank you for taking the time to join us. I would also like to say a huge thank you to Ms Ahmed, Ms Nash and Miss Brunt for the work that went into putting it together. I have enjoyed making my way round the classes to see some of the fabulous learning that is taking place and had the pleasure of teaching Year 1 PE this afternoon – they were fabulous! Whilst the winter weather is definitely on its way, it has been lovely to see the sunshine breaking through today – let’s hope we see more of that for the weekend!

If you have any ideas for events or ways to celebrate our diverse community please do come and share them. Alternatively please do email me if you can’t make it – lashby@htprimary.com
