Dear Parents and Carers 07/03/2024
I was delighted that our Co-chairs of Governors were able to announce that Emily Evans will be supporting Holy Trinity
during the summer term as Executive Head. I have known Emily as a fellow Diocesan Headteacher for the last five
years and am confident she will make a great addition in leading Holy Trinity through the next term.
Inset Day Monday 15th April
There will be an inset day on Monday 15th April. This is to accommodate some statutory training that all school staff
have to undertake.
Headteacher for the day
Meghan took over as Headteacher for the day on Tuesday and appointed Jonalyn as her Deputy. They had a very busy
day and were involved in leading a parent tour, doing a safeguarding walk around school with Mr Bell, helping out over
lunchtime, doing lots of observations and having a meeting with Miss Ashby to recommend any changes they thought
needed to be made. Their favourite parts of the day were playground duty and visiting Reception Class.
World Book week
The World Book Day Costume Parade took place today. I am pleased to report that it wasn’t just the children who
enjoyed dressing up! Earlier this week we welcomed two authors, Cath Howe and David Mason and we look forward
to welcoming Smriti Halls.
Year 2 Trip to Brooklands
Year 2 had a fantastic trip to the Brooklands Museum on Tuesday. They were able to participate in a real Concorde
simulation on board a real Concorde! They also had the opportunity to look at and go on various modes of transport
from the past to modern day including planes, buses, motorcycles and super cars!

purchase a book.
Science Show – 18th March
The Royal Institution will be visiting our school on Monday 18th March as part of our STEM week. They seek to inspire
a sense of wonder and excitement with science. They will be doing science shows during the school day but will also

Book Fair. The fair will run from Tuesday 19th to Friday 22nd of March and will take place after school in the KS1
playground.
Easter Egg Competition – 25th March
The annual blown egg competition will take place as usual this year. Please bring in any entries on the morning of
Monday 25th March ready for judging. The theme that has been suggested this year for the competition is, ‘What will
Mrs Bateman do in her retirement?’ This will be judged by our Chairs of Governors. Good luck!
International Food Festival – 26th March
We are holding an International Food Festival during the morning of 26th March. Following the success of our
International food stall at the Christmas Fair, our HT Friends group are keen to celebrate our cultural richness and
share the different cuisines linked to our heritages with our community. Please can your child bring in a plate of
bite-sized nibbles to share with our community; it may be tasters of a family favourite (sweet or savoury), from
England or some traditional food linked to your culture or heritage. This is a great opportunity for children to
experience and celebrate different foods from around the world. Please label your plate of food with the
ingredients, (and vegetarian/vegan/gluten/dairy) for our children with allergies and intolerances. Please keep an
eye out for sign-up sheets through your class reps and on your child's classroom door.

Easter Holiday Rugby Camps at Richmond Rugby Club
2nd April – 5th April & 9th April – 11th April from 9 am – 3 pm for boys and girls aged 4 – 16.
We accept all abilities from children who have never played before to children who have played through the years. We
do not expect you to be a member of our club but someone who enjoys the outdoors and loves making new friends.
The camps offer fun, structured rugby-based sessions that help your child(ren) develop their fundamental movement
skills, hand-eye coordination, and interactions with other kids. The children will learn how to kick, pass, ruck, tackle,
and jackal safely. We aim to build strong foundations of the basics of rugby and to improve what has already been
built.
We provide a unique experience where young people can challenge their abilities, learn new skills, set challenges for
themselves, and achieve those challenges, improving their problem-solving and leadership skills. All while being in a
safe and enjoyable environment.
Our coaches play the First team for the men's and women's teams of Richmond Rugby. Our coaches are DBS-checked
and are all RFU level 2 qualified coaches. Please make sure your child brings appropriate outdoor clothes for all
weather conditions and a packed lunch with a water bottle.
£35 for one day. £65 for two days. £90 for three days.
