Friday 28th March 2025
Dear Parents and Carers,
Another week seems to have flown past! This week, we have enjoyed our Marvellous Maths Workshop helping with our Aspiration to become Marvellous Mathematicians, and our International Food Festival where we shared some fantastic offerings from families across our diverse Holy Trinity Community. Our Governing Body also met to look at how the school is doing academically, financially and in terms of our safeguarding, and it was lovely to have two new governors, Peter and Nico, joining the team. We look forward to another wonderful week before the well-deserved Easter holidays – please have a peaceful and enjoyable weekend.
Best wishes,
Mr George

Trips, visits and events |
Year 5 residential
Year 5 have had a wonderful 3 days away at Marchants Hill on the edge of the Devil’s Punch Bowl
Badgers and Foxes have had a fabulous few days away on their residential in the woods south of Guilford. They have been busy with all sorts of activities, some of the highlights being the giant swing, firemaking, climbing and, the staff favourite, the sensory trail! They were huge fun to take away and were very well behaved; enjoy your own beds this evening! Thank you so very much to all the staff that went with them, for your care and enthusiasm;it is always such a pleasure but I know that you will sleep well tonight!
Heron ‘s pull on their wellies for Forest School
On Monday, the Heron Class had a fantastic time at Forest School. The children planted spring bulbs, painted nature-inspired artwork, made creative mixtures in the mud kitchen, and showed great teamwork and sportsmanship in rope play.
International Food Festival
On Tuesday we celebrated our rich and diverse international community at our whole school food festival. The children loved trying all the different cultural cuisines and learning more about our community. “ The food was soooo good, I wish I wasn’t in year 6 and could do it again next year!” “There was such a vast variety of food to enjoy! I wish I had it all in my fridge!” Thank you so much to everyone who contributed, it was lovely to be able to share it with you at the end of the day!
World maths day
Holy Trinity celebrated World Maths day with an exciting visitor. Dave Hickory – the marvellous magical maths man – brought Geometry and Number to life. We took part in workshops where balloons helped us problem solve questions about properties of different shapes. We learnt about binary numbers systems and imagined how terrible our lives would be without maths in them! A couple of weeks ago…
Year 3 had another exciting week a couple of weeks ago, full of LOADS of opportunities. As well as learning how to safely cross the roads in and around Richmond, Mrs Barclay also organised a fabulous trip to the Royal Festival Hall. As part of our learning in music, it is such a joy to bring an orchestra to life by seeing The Philharmonic Orchestra perform live. The sunshine also meant we could have a picnic outside – Spring has sprung!

Safeguarding |
As always, safeguarding is our top priority. Here are a few important reminders to help us ensure the safety and well-being of all our children:
Drop-off & Pick-up: Please remember to drop off and pick up your child at the designated areas, and once you have picked up your child at the end of school, do keep them close to you and leave the school premises promptly.
Access to the School: For safety reasons, please use the correct door buzzer if the gates are locked. Please don’t use the Kingfisher buzzer if you need main school access – staff there are unable to let parents in if they are not coming to Kingfisher. This helps us maintain proper safeguarding procedures and ensures everything runs smoothly.
Parking: Kindly avoid parking in front of our neighbours’ driveways.. It’s important to respect their space and maintain the strong sense of community we value at Holy Trinity, as well as causing issues for safety for walkers and residents.. Let’s also be extra polite and considerate to them so that they feel part of our wider community.
Communication: If you notice anything unusual or have any concerns, please reach out to us immediately. Your awareness and support play a key role in keeping our school a safe place.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone!
Emotion Coaching |
A reminder of the Zones of Regulation that we use at Holy Trinity to label and understand our feelings and emotions.
Community events and initiatives |
Please take a look at this flyer from the MHST for their upcoming online workshops. They are running a workshop on “Screens and Wellbeing” in May. Additionally, there’s a workshop on “Transition to Secondary School” coming up soon, which they are encouraging all Year 6 parents to attend.
Following last year’s successful programme, Richmond Council is continuing to host a series of mega skip days in each area of the borough during 2025, where local residents can get rid of bulky unwanted items for free.
The mega skip next Saturday 5 April will be placed in your community at the junction of Manor Road and Carrington Road, from 9am to 12pm (or until the skips are full – whichever comes first). Residents can bring along up to six items (including furniture or mattresses, electrical appliances, black bags, etc). Items are then recycled. Any furniture that’s brought and still in good condition is taken by local charity Richmond Furniture Scheme, who upcycle second-hand furniture and sell on for a discount.
